HERCULES & HEBE
The Morning After Olympus · Old Heaven Mug Pair

He has put down his burdens. She has brought some color to the proceedings.

Hercules at Rest and Hebe in pink make a companionable pair: a little grandeur, a little tenderness, and two good reasons to linger at the table.

One for the person who carries too much. One for the person who makes the morning worth arriving at. Decide between yourselves which is which.

Give them for a shared kitchen, a new beginning, or an anniversary that deserves something more interesting than matching initials. Keep both if your household arrangements favor variety.

Two mugs. Separate personalities. Excellent company.

OLD HEAVEN
Leave the labors until after breakfast.

INSPIRED BY
Hebe, daughter of Zeus and Hera, is the Greek goddess of youth and cupbearer of the gods. In Hesiod’s Theogony and the Odyssey she becomes the wife of Heracles after he is made immortal and taken up to Olympus. François Perrier’s 1638 etching shows the Farnese Hercules from behind, leaning on his club, the golden apples of the Hesperides held behind his back; Carolus-Duran’s Hébé (1874) shows her pouring from a ewer as she rides an eagle.
