Three Deadly Notes, N. C. Wyeth King Arthur Framed Print (1917)
A green horn hangs from a thorn. The Green Knight rides to it and blows three deadly notes, and three damsels come to arm him for the fight. Nothing reassuring follows.
For someone who has sounded the horn when walking away would have been the sensible thing.
Ready to hang: an 8 × 10 in framed print in a white or black wood frame. At home in an entryway or study, or as a gift for someone with a taste for dark woods and old courage.
